Company

We are a European leader in the design, production and sale of handles and accessories for doors and windows in aluminium alloy, brass, bronze, stainless steel, zinc alloy, nylon and iron.

Since 1929, the year our activities began, we have been committed to providing our customers with a wide range of solutions, the best value for money, extensive customisation margins and, of course, reliability, which has made GHIDINI a benchmark for anyone wanting to furnish their spaces with the quality our brand offers.

Today, after almost a century, we continue to offer all customers and partners our full commitment to sustainability, innovation and detail: three elements that, generation after generation, best represent us.

A long history of success

For almost a century we have been central to Italy’s history of handles and accessories. Our story, beginning in the Val Trompia, saw our family cultivate their artisan tradition and integrate it with cutting-edge industrial innovation.

The 1950s saw the new generation come into the company, and the company expanded its production networks by opening new plants and implementing a process of continuous technological innovation, which contributed to making the GHIDINI brand even more famous throughout Italy.

Milestones 1960-69

Since the 1980s the focus on project activities has evolved thanks in part to our continuous partnership with qualified external designers, whose synergy has fuelled the growing collaboration on new evolutionary trends.

Milestones 1990-99

GHIDINI’s constant presence in the national and international conversation on product design is confirmed in numerous initiatives that reaffirm the popularity of our brand.

Some of our proudest achievements include the creation of the Manua journal as well the “Handle for the III Millennium” International Design Competition, organised to celebrate the company’s 70th birthday. This occasion heralds the birth of “Infinita“, the innovative handle that resolves the relationship between the plate and operating lever.

The most recent creation is the Leonardo project, winner of the 2004 Vele d’Oro award and DFA quality brand as best representing innovation in the handle sector.
